Associate Professor Glenda Cox works in the Centre for Innovation in Learning and Teaching (CILT: http://www.cilt.uct.ac.za/) at the University of Cape Town (South Africa) and her portfolio includes postgraduate teaching, curriculum change projects, Open Education, and staff development.
She holds the UNESCO chair in Open Education and Social Justice (2021-2025) and is a member of the UNITWIN network on Open Education (2024-2028). She is on the editorial board of the International Journal of Students as Partners (joined in 2022). Furthermore she is passionate about the role of Open Education in the changing world of Higher Education. Associate Professor Cox is currently the Principal Investigator in the Digital Open Textbooks for Development (DOT4D) initiative. Her current research includes analysing the role of open textbooks for social justice and we are proud to welcome her in Hagen as a speaker of the panel discussion on the 25th of September.

Zu ihrem Aufgabenbereich gehören postgraduale Lehre, Projekte zur Lehrplanänderung, Open Education und Personalentwicklung.
Sie hat den UNESCO-Lehrstuhl für Offene Bildung und soziale Gerechtigkeit (2021-2025) inne und ist Mitglied des UNITWIN-Netzwerks für Offene Bildung (2024-2028). Weiterhin ist Glenda Cox Mitglied des Redaktionsausschusses des International Journal of Students as Partners (seit 2022). Außerdem beschäftigt sie sich leidenschaftlich mit der Rolle der offenen Bildung in der sich wandelnden Welt der Hochschulbildung. Associate Professor Cox ist derzeit die leitende Forscherin der Initiative Digital Open Textbooks for Development (DOT4D). Ihre aktuelle Forschung umfasst die Analyse der Rolle offener Lehrbücher für soziale Gerechtigkeit. Wir sind stolz darauf, sie als Rednerin der Podiumsdiskussion am 25. September in Hagen begrüßen zu dürfen.
